The history of the ballpoint pen began in the distant 30s at the suggestion of a Hungarian journalist. Then László-József Bíró realized that society needed a new writing instrument. Sales of the first ballpoint pens started in 1942.

Body material and rod thickness matters

The thickness of the line depends on the size of the metal ball. Ballpoint pens with a refill diameter of 0.5-0.7 mm are considered the most comfortable for writing. How to find out the diameter of a metal ball? Pay attention to the letter designations. “M” is the average 0.5-0.7 cm. “F” is the smallest – 0.4-0.5 cm, allowing you to make thin lines.
